Newsworthy is our regular news update. Instead of killing your inboxes with re-hashed press releases or junk you don’t need, we’ll pull out a few interesting products, stories and other things we stumbled across from recent times, write our thoughts on them and let you read the info for yourself.

The Africa Twin has proved a massively popular machine. It’s capable and well designed but like most big ADV bikes, it has some vulnerabilities in stock trim, especially when pushing the envelope off-road. US based company, AltRider, have released their full line of after market parts to keep the Honda protected from nature.

The line-up consists of modular crash bars, an impressive looking skid plate, rear luggage plates, headlight guards and the clever Dual Brake Control System. You can read the full release below or watch the video above.

Full Release.

AltRider, manufacturer of premium accessories for adventure, dual sport and street motorcycles, has launched a full line of accessories for the 2016-17 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin.

“It’s been a long time since we’ve been this excited about a new adventure bike,” says AltRider President Jeremy LeBreton. “Honda really designed this machine to venture off the beaten path, and that spirit of discovery and exploration is at the root of what we adventure motorcyclists are all about.”

AltRider is known in the adventure motorcycling world for their high quality American-made protection parts. AltRider accessories for the new Africa Twin were designed and developed by AltRider’s talented team with the goal of providing as much protection as possible without compromising performance or style.

Africa Twin owners can protect their new bike from impact and road debris with AltRider’s lineup of protection accessories, including the Skid Plate, Crash Bars, Headlight Guards, Radiator Guards and Rear Brake Reservoir Guard. AltRider’s revolutionary and patent-pending DualControl Brake System gives riders better control of the rear brake in both standing and sitting position, while the Side Stand Enlarger will keep the bike upright when parked on softer surfaces. The AltRider Hemisphere line of soft luggage and SYNCH Dry Bags give riders more space for gear and supplies, and the Rear and Pillion Luggage Racks allow riders to pack their Africa Twin down for the long haul.

“This bike is a great platform for development,” LeBreton continues. “Our parts are designed for maximum strength and coverage, whether you intend to commute to and from work or do an impromptu hill climb. Our goal is to empower riders to go out and explore with their motorcycle, and our accessories help to do that.”

AltRider accessories for the Honda Africa Twin are available online and through authorized AltRider dealers. Visit www.AltRider.com for more information.
