Episode Two of our Husky Project bike series was meant to be an awesome weekend. It turned into a weekend of drama, memories and great video.
The original plan for this video was to start in West Wales. We’d pick the Trans Euro Trail up near Aberystwyth and link that and a collection of other trails up on way north toward Snowdonia. I had it planned to a tee. Potential wild camp spots, emergency camp sites, where we’d get fuel and everything else. I’d even changed my camp gear plans to make up for Si and Si not being able to carry stuff on their bikes. I was organised and that’s rare.
After day one we’d spend the second day exploring some trails that are ‘challenging’ on big bikes, before running through legendary Coed Y Brenin forrest and finishing our trip with a third day run back to Aberystwyth on a collection of trails I’d never ridden before. I was excited, enthusiastic and stoked. For those who don’t know, getting stoked is dangerous.
Not every ride is going to go to plan and I had a blast riding the trails we rode and cutting this video. Knee stitches were less fun and my mum is better now. We’ve since filmed Episode Three and that will be coming in near future. Until then, I’ve added a small gallery below for you to enjoy!
